Volunteers are vital to Care and Repair North East Wales and make a massive contribution which compliments the skills and expertise of the staff. Volunteers often speak of the sense of satisfaction their volunteering brings, seeing how the work they do contributes directly to improving the well-being of others and the communities they live in. In turn we recognise the ways in which volunteers benefit our organisation.
Volunteer roles include
Café Volunteers, Events and Sports Volunteers, Social Media and Administration, Web and Computer work, Practical works etc
Organisation Trustees: We are aiming to broaden the networks and experience of the Board as we develop our social enterprise and fundraising activities. We also wish to reflect the diversity of our users and staff in our Board
Administrators: We are looking for admin support volunteers to carry out administrative support roles within our office.
Practical Services Volunteers including, gardeners and Handypersons
Specialist Hoarding Project Volunteers to assist people with their hoarding and clearing of properties
Café, Event and Sport Volunteers
All volunteers will receive: – Specialist training in the relevant area of volunteering e.g. Hoarding Specialist Training
– Training in a variety of other relevant topics offered. – Ongoing supervision and support. – Working alongside Care & Repair NEW caseworkers, technical officers and handypersons as well as other relevant organisations. – Regular volunteers’ meetings
